APRIL1, 2016 - FIRST LOIS MCGLOTHLIN DONALDSON ENDOWED LECTURE IN PHYSICS - The Department has received its first endowment to support an annual lecture in physics. At least every four years the topic will be in astrophysics. Dr. Eric Chaisson, the inaugural speaker from Harvard University, will deliver his lecture, "Cosmic Evolution and the Rise of Complexity in Nature," on April 1, 2016 in the UC Theater.
