Thomas Stafford - Department of Management Information Systems
Dr. Thomas F. Stafford is Chair of the MIS Department, and returns to the Fogelman
College after a 9 year hiatus working as the JE Barnes Professor of Information Systems
and Doctoral Coordinator at Louisiana Tech. Stafford is terminally degree in both
Marketing (Georgia) and Management Information Systems (Texas – Arlington), and has
spent a considerable amount of time in his career as Editor in Chief for leading journals
including The DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems and Decision Sciences.
He has also edited a baker’s dozen of journal special issue with venues such as MIS
Quarterly, Communications of the ACM and IEEE Transactions. Stafford is a research
expert in measure validation and the qualitative method of Grounded Theory.
