Student Research

A number of both undergraduate and graduate students in the Department are actively involved in cutting-edge research with our faculty members.  Research is an essential part of our graduate programs, including MS projects and MS/PhD theses and dissertations.  Students who are involved in research may receive academic credit via independent study and thesis/dissertation courses.

Each spring, the Department holds a Research Day where students can share their work and get feedback from faculty and other students.  Prizes are awarded to the top students. Recaps of recent Research Days are below:
