Clinical Mental Health Counseling Certificate

The University of Memphis’ Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is intended for individuals who are currently pursuing a Masters degree in school counseling at The University of Memphis, or have obtained a Masters degree in school counseling or rehabilitation counseling, The certificate will allow students to complete Tennessee’s Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) educational requirements as well as the State’s Mental Health Service Provider (MHSP) educational requirements.   Please direct questions to our contact person, Dr. Eraina Schauss

Admission Requirements

  1. Hold a graduate degree in school counseling or rehabilitation counseling from the University of Memphis within the last five years of applying to the certificate program.
  2. Minimum Masters GPA of 3.0
  3. Complete an application that includes submitting two letters of academic or professional recommendation, a personal statement, and a resume.
  4. Complete an interview with faculty.
