SPH Students and Faculty Represent UofM SPH at the Tennessee Public Health Association
2025 Annual Conference
September 17-19, 2025 – University of Memphis School of Public Health (UofM SPH) students
and faculty attended the Tennessee Public Health Association (TPHA) 2025 Annual Conference
in Murfreesboro, TN, where they had the opportunity to present their research.
Fourteen students from the SPH were selected by the Tennessee Department of Health
to receive a scholarship from the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) to attend TPHA
2025. As an additional benefit of this scholarship, students attended a reception
where they networked with TDH staff to learn about career opportunities in public
health.
The School of Public Health congratulates the following 14 students, which include
10 graduate students and 4 undergrads who were recipients of the TDH scholarships,
they include Bikram Adhikari, Ferial Ahmadi, Bilguun Batbaatar, Charlotte Boateng,
Brandy Bonnah, Mohammad Faisal, Shelbi Johnson, Yari Leverett, Jeanbaptist Nizeyimana,
Michael Ofori, Taelor E. Chavis, Jessica Rice, Frans Samosir and Zebunnesa Zeba. We
also extend our appreciation to the Tennessee Department of Health for their generous
support of our students!
