The University of Memphis is pleased to introduce the official email signature for use by all faculty and staff.
Guidelines for Use
- The signatures below are provided for use by all faculty and staff.
- Content within the signature can be edited, but no additions (i.e. "Think before you print") can be made. The template cannot be altered.
- Requests for exceptions to the signature cards below can be submitted to the Vice President for External Relations.

- Section 1: Name / Title / Department
- Your title can extend to two lines (for a total of 4 lines) in section 1.
- Digital versions of a handwritten signatures may be added to the top of signature card, above section1.
- Personal Pronouns: Pronouns can be added to your email signature (she/her/hers, he/him/his,
they/them/theirs, etc.). Examples are below for reference.Tom Tiger (He/Him)

- Section 2: Address/Contact Information
- You can choose to include a cell or fax number instead of a website, or an email address instead of a mailing address.
- Section 2 is limited to the 4 lines as shown
- Section 3: Social Media Icons
- The icons shown below currently link to the UofM's social media. If you would like to change these to represent your department or college platforms, [instructions on how to do so]
- Additional social media buttons are available for YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok etc.
- Action buttons such as Apply Now, Buy Tickets, Make a Gift, etc. can be created upon request. If an action item is desired, contact m.carrier@memphis.edu.
- Icons must retain the same shape and blue color.
- Including social media icons is optional.
- Social media icons that link to non-University sponsored accounts are permitted but must be related to one's field of study or for academic use and approved by Marketing and Communication. These requests can be made to logo@memphis.edu.
If using mobile device that does not support HTML signatures, use the text portion. See example below:
